At the Black Business Initiative's 2nd annual award ceremony, the BBI presented Michael R. Duck, President and Founder of A.C. Dispensing Equipment Inc. with the Hector Jacques Award of Business Excellence. "Michael is the epitome of what this award represents," said Rustum Southwell, Executive Director of The Black Business Initiative. "He is an innovator and a dedicated business man with vision and courage." Rated on the quality, innovation and vision of a product or service, overall financial performance and workplace excellence, the Hector Jacques Award of Business Excellence is awarded each year by the Board of Directors of the BBI. The Award is presented to a company or an individual business owner within the Nova Scotia Black Business Community. The BBI's goal is to foster a dynamic and vibrant Black presence within the Nova Scotia Business community. The Hector Jacques Award of Business Excellence serves to strengthen this goal by recognizing the best in our business community.

Nova Scotia Premier John F. Hamm and his cabinet ministers held a press conference and cabinet meeting at the A.C. Dispensing Equipment Inc. manufacturing facility in Lower Sackville, NS. The Black Business and Professional Association (BBPA) announced the winners of the BBPA Harry
Jerome Awards. Michael R. Duck, President of A.C. Dispensing Equipment
Inc. is the 2004 winner in the business category. The awards recognize
African Canadians in the fields of Academics, Athletics, Arts, Business,
Community Service, Leadership, Media & Entertainment, Professional
Excellence and Technology and Innovation.
Throughout its 22-year history, the BBPA Harry Jerome
Awards has honoured numerous outstanding and inspirational Canadians,
such as former lieutenant governor of Ontario Lincoln Alexander, Dr.
Rosemary Brown, Oscar Peterson, Donovan Bailey, Lennox Lewis, Djanet
Sears, Beverley Mascoll and many others. The BBPA named these
prestigious awards in the memory of Harry Jerome, an outstanding
African-Canadian athlete, Olympian, scholar and social advocate. Jerome
shared his talents and knowledge to inspire pride and excellence in the
Black community and Canadian society. Attended by Canadian prime
ministers, Ontario lieutenant governors and premiers in addition to many
distinguished Canadians, the BBPA Harry Jerome Awards gala attracts more
than 1000 people each year.

will be officially relocated to our new manufacturing and office complex
at 100 Dispensing Way, Lower Sackville, NS, B4C 4H2.

A.C. Dispensing Equipment Inc. is
pleased to formally announce the commencement of construction on the
company's new 65,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant and offices located on 7.8 acres in the
Sackville Industrial Park. The facility, scheduled to be completed in
early 2003, will be the new home of SureShot Dispensing SystemsŪ and
Novamold.

its purchase of Novamold, Inc. in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. Now named
Novamold, A Division Of A.C. Dispensing Equipment Inc. The company
specializes in the design and manufacture of injection molded plastics.
